Put cuts out when gaming

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong section im new.

This is long winded, i just want to give all of the details!

I built a gaming PC a long time ago now. It comprises of:

AMD FX 8350 8 Core
Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0
MSI R9 280X
8GB Corsair RAM
Corsair force 180GB SSD
750W Single rail PSU

H100i Not the best but it does the job for me!

It worked great for ages!

Anyway, My girlfriend spilt her drink on my desk, it ran over the desk and poured off the side into my PC. The top mounted h100i sucked it in and spat it all over. I quickly unplugged it all and got drunk :/ (No i did try and remove as much of the liquid as possible and took the graphics card out.)

Anyway, i cleaned it all up with electrical board cleaner, in an aerosol can and blasted all over, where it looked sticky etc. It cleaned up fine and cant tell it ever had liquid in it. I left it another 4 days after cleaning it all before booting it up. In a WARM room with the summer sun! So it got a good drying out.

Good news, it worked fine, for weeks and weeks. Then one day during GTA online, it crashed and cut out on me. I tried resetting it, but it was a PSU trip. So i had to reset the power. Since it booted back up its never been the same. Games had HUGE lag to them. The shadows had white noise in them. So i took it all apart and messed on with it, rebuilt it, and it worked a lot better. The shadows still had the white noise and marks though. But games were playable, so i used it for a year and half like that.

I decided to format it. And given the PSU was mounted upside down, it also sucked in a lot of the liquid. So much liquid poured out of the PSU at the time of the drink, i decided id replace it. Since formatting windows and the new psu, whenever i play games it completly cuts out 2 minutes in to any game! PSU trip

Ive tried a new graphics card, known working, and its exactly the same.
Ive now obviously had 2 PSU's

So it leaves me with CPU, RAM and MOBO

Ive ran prime95 and it hits 100% fine, and uses 6gb ram.

As soon as i stress the GPU the PC cuts out.

I like Gigabyte better myself, but do you have somewhere else to order from. Don't know about the Asus but the Gigabyte is a older rev. Its the 1.0. Since then there has been a 1.1 and a 3.0. Plus they have updated it to a GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5294#ov

ah ok so 3 votes for gigabyte, my friend mentioned them too, and i did like the look of the board for the price. I did notice on falcon it said rev 1 so thanks for giving me a nudge on that. I think im going to order from ebay but from another reputable shop.

Can i have my old board tested any where or return it to asus?

I have just ran Prime 95 on the pc again and all was well for over 20 minutes. I ran furmark on the graphics in preset 720 and the GPU temp was climbing at 8-10c a second! it hit 100 and powered off. Now i know why its going off. After posting this im about to test another graphics card and run furmark, to see if that also overheats within seconds.

Im worried a faulty PSU vs a now cheap one, it is bronze though and 750w. Sigh

Do you guys both think faulty mobo, i dont want to be wasting money :(

Thought you tried another video card. What brand and model PSU are you using now?
Yes I had, but I've got mixed results. The last time I tried it with my normal setup, as I said the gpu temp was clearly the issue. When I put a Asus r9 280x in it actually does the furmark test fine. BUT the pc randomly crashes to the monitor going all different colours and an awful sound coming through hdmi. So with both cards there is some kind of issue. But it doesn't act the same way.

I have an EZCOOL Ambiance Bronze 750W with 2x 30amp rails. This replaced a more expensive one I had which was single rail.

I'm going to try a new kettle cable and move the computer to another room/outlet. Just as a last chance thing before I spend money on a mother board.

Changed the motherboard, MSI 990FXA Gaming, and still EXACTLY the same. I think ill have to take it into a shop and let them take a look at it :/ :(
