putting a third hard drive into my computer

I already put a second harddrive into my computer, what about a third one? Will this be bad for my computer? WHen I put my second one which was 256GB only got 128 after I treid to format it. Mind you my XP 2002 OS was a copy.

ITs not bad no. I have had this same problem. I had to install windows xp on the hdd and enable 48bitLBA for it. I know theres tutorials how to do it. Then after you enable it, you have to reformat again. This is what i had to do...

Just install SP2, and then reformat the drive.. It will go to the full size.

Ok checked out installing SP2, but I might alreday have it and anyway my computer automatically updates, so shouldnt need it, right? How do you know you definitely have it?

Went to format in My computer and it said that if I try to reformat I would lose all of my data.
