Check your system temps. If your computer runs hot, and doesn't have much airflow, then a silent video card is not the best idea.textbook said:I have heard that this type of graphics card overheats easily and blows, i live in hot a place- should i take it back and get a different one?
you cant rely on color, pci is almost always white, but agp can be brown orange or green and pcie can be white black orange, or blue.ckfordy said:What slot do you have in your computer AGP, PCI, PCI E. agp is brown pci is white and pcie is black and what kind of videocard did you get agp pci or pcie.
You need to know the socket before you can buy one. It's either PCI, AGP, or PCI-E. If you can tell us the model number of the computer and/or motherboard, we should be able to find it for you.textbook said:Well when I log into my computer one of the areas of the computer is always too hot, th rest are ok. So not knowing anything about graphics cards, what type should i go for?
