Putting one together???

Just recently I had thought about selling my current computer and building a new one. Then I thought that I should get a laptop instead because I'm gonna go to colledge in a couple of years. Then I thought why not build a laptop. So I went about searching the web for parts, which would be synchronized together, and after a couple weeks I couldn't even find a case. If I wanted to accomplish this would I have to call a compony and special order the parts or laptops are just not to be custom built?

You could buy a barebones notebook that comes with the just the case and gpu and then buy the processor, hard drive, optical drive, & memory separately. Its a cheaper but your putting all the parts together so you have to find what parts go with the notebook and building it yourself.

too difficult

have you ever taken a laptop apart? There are so many screws and most parts are soldered together. Like the heatsink to the cpu. It seems to be an arduous and bothersome task. Definately better to buy one from a major laptop maker.
