Q about Re-installing Vista and Recovery CD

my lappy is on the fritz and i want to do a vista reinstall for a clean start, but i dont want to have to find all the drivers and stuff that would be lost in the reinstall. so my question is:can i reinstall via Vista install CD and then restore drivers via my lappys vista repair/recovery CD??? thanks for the help!
 
You should be able to do that. I can with my Sony Vaio. If not, you can download all your drivers here. Be sure to select the correct Vista version that was preinstalled on your laptop. Also, on that page, you can find general support advice for your lappy.

Why don't you do a factory restore with the disks?

cause im gunna wipe the HDD and... well, can i do a complete reinstall with the recovery CD (or recovery partition for that matter)?? i might just do that if it will work.
