Q: Power Button

ok... I dont know if this is suppose to happen or not, but when i push the power button on my computer, i have to do it twice. i press it once and it turns on and goes back off again in like .5 seconds, and then i press it again and it will go on?

All I know is that it is not supost to happen. It could be your motherboard or powersupply but if it is not damaging anything I don't see a point in replacing anything.

i dont think its damageing anything, i was just curios to see if its a symptom of a bug or something.

Does it do this often? I'm not sure but perhaps you could check bios for power on settings and see if somthing is there. I really dont know myself what is causing this but My last computer would do this every so often also but as it where not an everyday occurence I just left it and nothing bad ever happened to it. Sorry to not offer a solution but perhaps someone else with more input will post .

it happens when ever my pc is off, and i press the on button, every time, not once in a while, im just going to ignore it i think, it dosent apear to be doing any harm

Could it be a loose/faulty power switch? Or maybe a BIOS setting?
