ZeroWing New Member Feb 13, 2009 #1 Im just wondering what an upgrade from a Q6600 would be? Can be AMD or Intel. Let me know if its worth it. Thx.

M MouSe Member Feb 13, 2009 #2 You're wishing to do gain what over a Q6600? It's a very capable CPU still.
Shane Super Moderator Staff member Feb 13, 2009 #3 An I7 would be the only decent upgrade realybut then your talking a new mobo, ram, imo its not worth upgrading to any other socket 775 Quad. why would you want to upgrade anyway? the Q6600 blasts through anything these days. M MouSe Member Feb 15, 2009 #8 I'm going pretty close to 4GHz with my Q6600. Not bad for a budget quad. Same thing I'm shooting for with my i7 pretty soon.
