q8200 vs e8400

Q8200.....quad core :)

You might get a better overclock with the e8400 but id take quad over dual anyday like ive said many times before.
 
The E8400 might win a few benchmarks from programs that are not even coded for 4 processing cores...but the only logical choice is the Quad!
 
my thoughts are that if you have a program that only utilizes 2 cores they might not run fast because it is only 2.3 ghz.
 
The Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 is better than the Core 2 Duo E8400. The Q8200 has four processors on one chip. The E8400 only has two processors on one chip. The E8400 may run at a 3 gigahertz clock speed, but the Q8200 has two more processors than the E8400.

The E8400 is also over priced. $168 is not a good deal compared to the Q8200 which has a lower price than the E8400.
