The Q6700 and QX6700 are different, the Extreme version has an unlocked multiplier, and will be priced much less.

Do the Quad's overheat when you jack up the multiplier??? I would imagine you would need some good cooling if your overclocking QX6700?

with a good water cooling system, and some fast ram, you can get even the 6600 to 4.0 running 500x8

it's gonna take a NICE water block to get you there, tho
