I'm in the market for a laptop for the first time in 5 years. I rarely see terms like "dual core" or "quad core" processors anymore. I remember that when dual core was new, it was pretty fast, then quad core came along and was even faster. Today, I saw a 17" quad core laptop on sale for $425 at Office Max. This seems like a good deal, I'm a graphic designer who needs it for Photoshop and video editing mainly.
Most of the computers I'm seeing lately though have i5, i7, etc processors and I don't know how that compares? Thank you for any suggestions!
