Quake III arena question

im assuming the computers are networked. in the main menu or under multiplayer there should be a menu called netowork. im going on what other games have as ive never played quake III arena

the computers are networked, there is a multiplayer option and a setup option, under the setup option there is a network option, but all you can do there is set the data rate.

I just had to go into the windows xp firewall and under the allowances, allow quake 3, I should have thought of it a long time ago. Sometimes you overlook the easiest steps.

Ok my problem is back. I don't know what happened but it is not working again. Now when one of my computers tries to connect I get the wsaeinval. I didn't change anything on my computers so I don't know what happend can anyone help?
