Quake IV released 19 Oct (q3 also )

Hello there,

Just wondering I guess if you guys and girls are gonna be picking up Quake IV? Im gonna grab it, to date I havent played a more addictive game than quake 3 even though its at the end of the road with it been released ages ago its till a top game for me.

BTW. does anyone still play q3 and if so do you play 1.30 or 1.32? does anyone here play or know of the 'epic mod'?(created by a guy called 'tricky ninja' a candian guy, naybe praetor or some of the other canadian people know him <---long shot, i know) its a cool mod much better than excessive, much smoother faster and more suited to jumpers although the rail is cool there too, there is only one clan thats plays it and mcnutty.com but without that mod I guess i wouldny play quake as much as I have.

I only started playing the game at the start of the year and I would imagine most have been and gone by then given its been out a while.

sorry I guess I should have included q3 in the thread title, but really you must have high standards if the extent of your post is regarding a small detail within its content, do you have any views on quake? or just threads in general? I guess the reason I talk about q3 so much is becuase its a current game and not a future release.
 
not that excited about quake 4. Dont get me wrong, looks like an awesome game. I just prefer games with a tad bit more depth thats all.

fair point, 'horses for courses' as they say. Myself I cant wait, Quake as got everything I need, action thats about it. I guess as far as 'depth' is concerned as you put it I look into life which provides plenty.
 
Yea I've heard/read the 18th also. I look forward to its release. Quake series is what got me interested in gaming on the PC. I very much appreciate having a true sequel as most know Quake 3 was far from a sequel from Quake2. I did however enjoy Quake 3 very much for what it was and played it allot for a few years. I don't play it anymore but have friends that refuse to give up on the dying horse LOL. Last mod I played was Threewave and I'd have to say was my favorite of them all.
