I don't know much about computers, but apparently I have ddr RAM. Now im gonna buy more RAM but if I have ddr RAM does that mean I can use ddr pc100, or pc 1000 RAM if its ddr? If so whats the difference between pc100 and pc1000?

PC100 is SDR SDRAM, if your PC uses DDR you can't use that. The most common types of DDR SDRAM (normally just called DDR) are PC2100, PC2700 and PC3200. If you know what motherboard you have we can tell you what type of RAM to buy. You can use CPUz to detect it if you don't know.

Is there another way to figure out what my motherboard is? whenever I try to extract the files it says it needs an encription code or something. And it won't let me extract the files... But if there isn't, which RAM do you think would probably work out of those 2?

Either one should work, if you put in faster RAM than you have (or is supported) the faster RAM will be clocked down to the speed of the slower one.

Did you try downloading CPUz(direct link this time) and thats when you got the error?

Do you have a prebuilt machine? If so, what brand and model... I can tell you what RAM will work.

Actually im not sure if it was custom built, because I bought it used off someone. But I do know that it used to be used for demoing or something like that. BTW, whats demoing? And it wasn't really an error I got, just when I tried to extract the zip file it said it was encrypted or something and I needed to enter a password.
