Im curious mostly but might use. im using windows 7 pro. i have grand kids. what is the difference between using the guest account and creating a profile with limited rights? i had the impression they were the same and limited.
They really are the same, but the guest account would be for someone who doesn't regularly use the computer and doesn't have files to save or anything. A guest account will be a limited account, but all files will be public.
Ok........i tried and did create a limited account for the kids. i will get rid of that and create account for each kid. get rid of limited and keep it private. Me im talking about. i did not see any diff using it. they will have limited account anyway.
Another reason to use a guest account is if you have multiple people occasionally using your computer, where you wouldn't want to setup individual accounts for everyone.
