At a website i can highlight just fine. Im using windows 7 Pro 64 and when on the desktop and right click and drag ya get the blue screen ya highlighted. Is this useful for anything? just curious. Just highlights in blue but does nothing. Just wondering or maybe there is a hot key or something. Talking about from the desktop as mentioned. Not the internet, the copy function is available from there.

On the desktop it is functional to select multiple shortcuts to move using the mouse. It can also be done with the shift or control keys when clicking on the shortcut. Other than that, I do not see a use for it. That's what I use it for.

Next question would be how to highlight part of desktop then copy and paste say into a email. With Firefox i have a pluggin called SureShot and i can highlight part or all page and copy to clipboard then use as needed. Not from desktop though.
Any thoughts?

Are you talking about taking a screenshot? Just use the snipping tool for that.

Don't know what SureShot is, but if you want to take a picture of your Desktop just use the Print Screen Key. Then crop the part of the jpg you want to email with photo editing software.

The snipping tool makes it easier by cutting out the need to crop.

You answered and thanks. No, i did not want the print screen function for entire desktop. Im investigating the snipping tool now.
