Question about installing I/O shield in back of case

I popped out the generic I/O panel that came with my case - and put in the panel that came with my MOBO.

On the backside of the panel - there are some ears < metal fins > that are bend inward toward teh center of each component. Do I just bend those in / break them off - bend them out? They're in the way of mouinting my MOBO into the case.

Just bend them up enough for the ports to slip under them. After that the tabs should just rest on top of the ports.
