Right now with my current provider(2 years) when I have done speed tests it always is around 26Mbps download and 2.3Mbps upload. I'm done with my agreement and i'm seriously thinking about doing without the phone and cable tv. Right now i'm streaming Netflix and YouTube. Very satisfied. The only other thing that we are using is a laptop.
Also using a Netgear(N600)for the wireless signal. No problems with streaming or the laptop. Now 1 provider here in town has an only internet price of $72 for 25Mbps and $62 for the 15Mbps. Now this is there regular price.
I was surprised they actually listed there regular price cause usually its always pay this price for 12 months then the regular price kicks in. Now in my situation could I get by with the 15Mbps speed?
Its been a few years since I have had to check on internet prices but $62 and $72 seems fairly high to me. Like I said its been a few years since I last checked so maybe i'm out of the loop. But with my speed tests numbers do I pretty much have the 25Mpps speed now?
I actually have 3 places I can get cable/phone/internet from so at least I have a choice. So could I get by with the 15Mbps or spend the extra $10 and get the 25Mbps? Also do you think the price is fair? Thank You for your input!
