Question about my new computer?

Okay well about a month ago June 6, to be exact I ordered a new computer. It has been delayed..twice but it should get here in the next two weeks..hopefully.
And well I was wondering what should I upgrade once I get it. I was thinking of upgrading the ram..but I want to know youre opinions.
My Dell XPS 700(Being shipped July 17th..hopefully)

DELL XPS 700 Special Edition Formula Red:
Intel Pentium D Processor 950 (3.4GHz,800FSB) w/Dual Core Technology and 2MBcache
2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz(1gbx2)
Dual 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 Dual-GPU Graphics Cards Quad SLI
160GB SATA NCQ Hard Drive (10000RPM)
48X Combo and 16X DVD+/-RW
X-Fi PCI Sound Card
1 kilowatt Power Supply
Ageia PhysX Processor(Was it worth it...from what ive read maybe it was a waste...)

And that is copied exactly from my Dell order status thing. And the whole reason I havent cancelled it(If its delayed more than twice they ask you if you wanna cancel...I was like hell no) was because of the GFX cards. I dont know what X-Fi sound card Dell Included. You can see the computer at: http://www.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/cto_xpsdt_700?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
(not my setup since) the only thing Im worried about is that they dont offer the same things they offered when I ordered my system. And do you think $3900(4100 w/tax) was too much for this system..because well I checked around and most systems with around the same setup were alot more expensive.
Okay well tell me your insigt and is this good ram?

And do the speeds of the ram have to match? Okay well thanks in advance.

Very nice. 2GB of RAM will be plenty, trust me. $3,900 seems alot, considering you could build a gaming system just as good as that (if not better) for $2,000.

Well I wouldnt upgrade the RAM, 2GB is perfectly fine.

It seems very expensive, but the GPU sort of makes up for it even though it is WAY too much power.

The physX processor is basically useless now but it wont be in the future. You look like you have a lot of money to spend so its fine.

The speeds of the RAM dont have to match, but the type does. It has to be DDR2 SDRAM. You generally should get speed of either the same speed as your original RAM or lower. The RAM runs at the speed of the lowest RAM installed and how ever much the mobo supports.

You probably should have waited until Conroe was released, that processor will be outdated kinda fast.

What's sad is that I probally would have waited if I would have know about Conroe...but I really didnt know about it when I ordered the computer. I just recently(after I ordered my computer) looked into stuff like Conroe and DX10...and now im kinda iffy...but whatever...ille try building my own next..probally not soon since I just bought this. So yeah I feel dumb for not looking up stuff before I bought it...and I would cancel it but come on...Ive already waited a month for this...im not gonna give up now. But next time im going to research more and build my own. Thanks for you response.

Dell is hard to upgrade but you could always try.

True, the only really hard things to upgrade are the motherboard, processor, and case.

I have upgrade the PSU, RAM, and GPU in my dell. The motherboard is only compatible in Dell cases.

Ive upgraded my Dell Dimension 8200 too death..its been through 4 Graphic Cards 1 extra HD, 3 Sound Cards, an add on USB 2.0 and an extra 512mb off RAM(Cousin put the RAM in though) and not because the old stuff broke..just because well...I wanted something new...but anyways yeah Dells are a pain but I like them because there painful not really just felt like sticking up for my lil 8200 ahah.....its old now.

Okay another question about my new compy...so upgrading to 4GB of RAM wouldnt be worth it? I just dont want things to act slow...and also do you think I should add an extra HD and not like a slow HD I mean another 10000rpm HD?(Cause I already have 2 external 250GB HDs for multimedia)

Right now nobody or no programs require or take full use of 4 gig of ram. 2 gig is even down right a lot in today's standards right now anyway. (With the exception of windows vista coming out) Also, a 7200rpm is sufficient enough but 10,000 is always nice. :)

That computer is great, but you could've built one for about half the price which would be just as good. Also it would be easier to upgrade one that you built yourself.
