Question about network adapters

A little while back my Linksys wireless-G router crapped out on me. I went ahead and bought a Belkin-N. I am considering upgrading my adapter so I can take advantage of the N. Here's my question - if I buy the Belkin usb-N adapter do I have to remove the Linksys G-card that is currently in my computer? Or is there some way to simply have the computer recognize the N over the G?
 
Go into the device manager and disable the wireless G card that way if you don't want to remove it the PC wont recognize it.
 
you might also be able to disable in the network applet in control panel, I don't know which is better...
