question about power supply and video card

i have a 250 watt power supply (stock) and i got a video card that asks for 450 watts..... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8762234&type=product&id=1203815034383 will that run the video card for now?

I doubt it, the 3870 is a power hungry card. Most likely your stock PSU is on the cheap side and has fairly low amperage as well. You will also need both an 8 and 6 pin PCI-E connector IIRC.
