Question about Ram

I have 2 Kingston 256mb DDR400 PC3200 ram. If I added 2 more 25mb ram but a different brand, will anything go wrong? This might be a newb question. but i was just wondering cause i havent been upgrading my ram.

No, there isn't any reason it would cause a problem.

It will work fine, except if the different brand is slower then the kingston, then it will make all your ram the same speed.

what is a decent size of ram?

Depends on what you want to do with your computer, if you dont do any gaming or any really intensive stuff like image/video/audio editing, then 512MB is usually enough. But for gamers and intense editing, 1GB-2GB is a good amount.
