question about SLI

Consider this mobo which is Tri SLI:

it has 3 PCIE slots in this order:

X O X

X is PCIE 2.0
and O is PCIE 1.0

So how does this work if I want to have 2 card SLI?
If I say wanted 2 2.0 GFX's?
Id have to put one in X and one in O right?
Or each into X? (But then how would the bridge reach? )
So how does this work, having to put a 2.0 card into a 1.0?

i think if you use the "X" and "O" slot your mobo should gear down the "X" slot so that both cards are running at the same speed...Don't quote me though

What motherboard are you talking about. Most boards that are 2.0 all the PCIe X16 slots are 2.0 but some do still run the PCIe X1 slots in 1.1a
