question about some email pictures i receive

Ok. I get pictures from family and friends and using thunderbird. Scroll through the pictures the first one and last one. Scroll further down and see them again. Just curious. example 11 pictures and see them duplicated again while scrolling the last one. I thought someone attached them twice. But only 11 jpg pictures attached. Not a big deal. but why the 2nd time.

They're embedded into the email, but Thunderbird also shows them as separate attachments and opens them underneath the message.

thanks for the reply. the only way i found to stop it was to save them
then attach again. then it only shows up once. I would also send to myself
and see it one time. Not clear yet.
