Question about SSD

If i was to buy one for my PC could i install MAC OS on the SSD and still have Windows 7 on my Hard Drive?

yes, this is known as a dualboot. You can put them both on the SSD if you wanted.


EDIT: im not sure how it would work actually with 2 drives. You might have to put them on the same drive. can someone answer that? would you be allowed to select which OS if they are on separate drives?

i was watching a youtube video and all you have to do is change the bios settings to which hard drive you want to boot from.

You can put them on two separate drives. During bootup you'll run into a screen asking which operating system you want to boot off of.

Yeah so would it be worth buying a SSD and putting Mac OS on it or copying everything from my hard drive to it

Can you put 7 on the ssd? Since it's so friendly for it?
And everything else on the hdd?

i dont know, if i got a SSD id want to put windows 7 on it and move all my files over as thats the OS i use most.

if i do that id probably put mac OS on the hard drive

Can anyone explain how i would copy everything over ?

If you installed 7 to the hdd, and you still have the same motherboard, you could back up your data and use the disc to fresh install 7 to the new ssd.

im keeping everything just thinking of adding an SSD but not sure what to do if i buy one
