Question about Trible channel?

Triple means 3, Does it mean it has to use 3 memory sticks to get triple channel? Can one use ddr2 or ddr memory stick to get triple channel?

Whatever the board supports is what you will need. You need 3 or 6 memory slots in order to run triple channel.
