Hi all,

Is the NV 310M 1G DDR3 + Intel GMA HD (Optimus Technology) a better card than NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS with 256MB video Ram?

I have this ASUS UL80JT-A2 Thin and Light 14-Inch Laptop come with NV 310M GPU, I can't get it to do Dual monitor with an external monitor; but I also have this Dell XPS M1710 old laptop come with NVIDIA 7900GS with 256MB video Ram which I can do the dual monitor. Is there anything I can't do to make the Asus laptop do dual monitor?
Thank you.

This is the Asus I am talking about

The 7900 GS is better. It might still not allow you to have a second monitor.

Are you sure you can't do dual-monitors? I did see the other thread, but there's an option in XP that allows you to extend the desktop under properties. I've done it before with a really old computer that I extended to a TV which I then could mouse over to the right and have it appear on the TV.

The laptop in question is the Asus new laptop with Intel I3-330UM processor and come with NV 310M 1G DDR3 + Intel GMA HD (Optimus Technology); It run on Windows 7. The NVIDA Control panel doesn't have the multiple display options. I don't know where to look.
Thank you.
