Question about upgrading

Most of the time, a PCI-e 2.0 video card will work in a PCI-e 1.0 slot, but there are some exceptions. The exceptions are when a card is designed with no pci-e power connector, and since PCI-e 1.0 cannot supply as much power though its slot than pci-e 2.0 can, the card cannot receive enough power. This leads me to your other requirement: how much wattage can your power supply give?
 
what kind of budget have you got and what will be the main use of the pc are looking for the latest games or just internet browsing?

with this info we should be able to help get the right card for you

Okay, so you said you wanted to play the latest games, right? What's your budget? You can usually get away with something under $200, unless you want really high frame rates.
 
My budget would be under 120. I would to play COD MW2, Oblivion, BF BC, or all the "high" graphic games. Also since I plan on buying my power supply online, should I worry if the PSU won't fit into my computer?

Yes, that can pose a problem. There are two major sizes: SFX and ATX. Check the back of your case: is there a fan and a power plug, or a power plug and some holes. If there isn't a fan on the back of the PSU, most likely you need an SFX PSU. That method doesn't always apply, though. It's best if you send us a pic. Is your budget of <$120 for the PSU and card, or just the card?
