Question about Video Card

I was looking at the Office@Home Intel Dual Core computer at canadacomputers, so I called them up to find out what comes in the box and how many usb ports its has. So they told me it has 6 USB (4 rear, 2 front) and they said its just the computer with the driver cd. Then the guy explained to me that its a pretty good office machine but not for games since it has integrated graphics card (which is alright for now since I mostly need an office machine, the only computer games I play are online games). So I go to him well if I need a better video card I can always pop one in and disable the onboard video. Then he told me the only video card I can put is one for a AGP slot. Now does this mean the motherboard has no PCI, PCI Express x1 and PCI Express x16?

It should have PCI slots. PCI is used for more than just video cards, it's usually used for expansion cards like ethernet, USB, Firewire, etc. If you wanted to put a PCI video card in you would have an very small selection to choose from, and that selection isn't so great. It won't have any kind of PCI-E slot unless the guy you were talking to was telling you the wrong information.

Well I spoke to the guy at the store and check the site and they both say under Video Card: Integrated Video with AGP expansion slot. And none of the PCI slots are taken up on that computer so I assume if there are any there might be 3 or 4 and no PCI-E slots or maybe 1 PCI-E slot.

There may be PCI-E x1 or x4,but not x16 if theres an AGP slot. And AGP is fine, you can add in an AGP graphic card in there when you want to.Canada COmputers is a great place for canadian buyers.I shop there.

Of course the AGP is fine, I dont have any problem with it. I can get a BFG nVidea GeForce 256 MB in this slot so im fine. But you know the PCI is really important for me right now for any fuiture upgrades.
