Question ANYONE?

Is there an external hard drive that I can install all my programs on and run from, without installing the programs on my laptop.
I keep hearing about a SATA External Drive, but then I need that port on my laptop.
Anyone with some ideas please!

no mate it really depends on the program itself, lets say we install Firefox on an external, you can plug it somewhere else and still use it, but programs by the like of OFFICE, PHOTOSHOP is different, you might get file missing errors and most program create links to registry to it might not even work, or if it does it will crash on you.

This applies to games also

Theres tonnes of programs patched for use on external drives, just google the name of the program and "portable" and you can usually find the thing you need.
