hello am im trying to decide on a mobo and have narrowed it down to two. th nvidia nforce 780i. but i see that there is 2 types theres the regular one then there is one with an ftw in its name. what is ftw? does it make the mobo better? or is it still roughly the same as the first one??

the 780i is a waste IMO thats why I didn't get it. The only thing its got over the 750i is it supports tri-sli,and dual gigabit lan(waste). 750i FTW is the same except it only supports sli and has no dual gigabit lan. leaves you more $ to spend on your video card(s).....

but doesnt the 750 have one x16 lane and one x8 PCI lane?

the 780 has 2 x 16?

not surethough...

FTW just stands for for the win.

It has a few less things (mostly not needed by the average computer user), and the price is much lower...
