Don't know much about SCI motherboards and using two video cards, and what will work and what won't, so what I'm asking is this, will this motherboard:

EVGA 750 SLI NVIDIA 750i SLI Chipset LGA775 Supports LGA775 FSB1333 DDR2/800 Mainboard w/GbLAN,USB2.0,&7.1Audio

Run these two video cards together effectively?
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 16X PCI Express +
NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 16X PCI Express

If there is some gross error in how I'm approaching this purchase, also, please let me know. Thanks.

No. You can't run two different video cards in SLI. You could run a 9800 and a 9800, an 8800 and an 8800 or a GTX280 and a GTX280.

You cannot run a 9800 and a 9500 together. They have to be the same model card.

Branding doesn't matter though, so you could have an EVGA 9800 and an XFX 9800 working together.

That is, assuming you were wanting SLI. If you wanted two video cards for two monitors. Then it'd work. However, there isn't any point in having two cards as they'll most likely have two DVI/VGA ports on each.

Hope this helps.
