Can a router be a bottleneck in my internet? I just upgraded my internet to 15mb service and I just want to make sure my cheapo Belkin router isn't going to limit the connection.
If you have too many clients and the router can't handle it, then yes it can definitely be a bottle neck. Depends on your infrastructure. How many clients are connecting to your router?
i don't want to thread jack or anything, but a standard router can take up to 4 wired and how many other wireless clients before it starts to show sign of lag?
I have one pc, along with a few other things running off the router. Mostly my computer is the only thing running, but I have a router because it was a pain unhooking and rehooking up every individual component every time I needed to connect it to the internet. Basically, I just wanted to make sure that after upgrading to the faster connection that my router wasn't going to limit the speed.
