QUESTION, plz let me know

I was wondering if this is a good setup for a custom made computer, if not, what would be better in which areas? and if any known facts are known if one part is crap.

Gigabyte GA-K8NS ULTRA
AMD ATHLON 64 3500+ or 3700+
ATI 9600XT 128mb
Maxtor 200gB serial ATA
Corsair 512 Twin x PC3200 400 MhZ (could someone lemme know it this rams good, or which is better (best) thank)

It all looks fine. Your setup would depend highly on what you want to use the system for. If its gaming you may want to upgrade to 1 gig of ram. So what do you want use it for?

I'm pretty sure gaming will be envolved what about the wattage on the power supply?

so is that ram good if i just get 1gb?

id get a better video card, i have the 9600XT 256MB, works nicely, but cant play the newest games at highest settings. I'd go with an X800 or 6600GT or better

The wattage on the powersupply you dont need to worry about, its more about the specs, and dont use the psu that comes with the space. Look at PSU 101 http://www.computerforum.com/showthread.php?t=10764

For gaming, and that fairly highend gfx xard you will want a PSU witha t least 28A on the 12v rail, if you want to be fairly comfortable in the ampage then go for something with 36A.

ditch the Maxtor, get a Western Digital.
