Question: Setting up a laptop monitor as a second monitor for a desktop!

hey guys!

just wondering if any of you have ever tried to set up a laptop monitor as a second monitor for a desktop...i have an 8800GT in my desktop with 2 monitor jacks, is it possible to simply hook my laptop into the graphics card (VGA to DVI)? if not, what would be some workarounds? i've also heard a little bit about needing to network the computers, and i won't pretend to understand much about that, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!!

yes it is possible, i detached my laptops lcd and now use it as a monitor but you dont have to detach the laptop lcd, just get a cable
