Question to Netbook owners

Thinking about getting that MAINLY because of the long 5 hour battery life I DREAD for. This will be for college classes. Right now I have a 15.4inch hp laptop which is too big, too heavy and has no battery life. This on the other hand will be the opposite for all 3 which will solve all my problems. Anyone have a netbook they use for classes? Is it big enough to type notes on? Any comments are welcome.
 
I am not in classes but I do a lot of typing on my netbook and I have got use to typing on it. I don't know about ASUS but Dell mini 9 key board is a little different from a usual key board but I am use to it.
