question

Currently known are the bulldozers, and ivy bridges, also the new sandy's with 6/12 cores/threads, along with second gens of these as in when they release the updated one after a few months, like a second set of bulldozers are schedualed for early 2012, but iut is coming in the next month or 2.

and remember that ivy will be compatible with the lga1155 of the current sandy too so yeah.

which one of these will be the most updated and most advanced of them all? and if that is not yet known then what is predicted to be the best? mainly i want to know if the ivy bridge is suppose to be better then the next sandy bridge or if the bulldozer is suppose to be better then them both?
 
ivy will probably be better, but bulldozer is looking great now too, it's all up in the air at this point
 
im more of an intel fan myself, seems to be the better althought more expensive option, i may wait for ivy or the next sandy to come out before my purchase of my awesome computer lol, could someone explain all the differences they will have and what are cores and threads and all that stuff and other things to look for in a CPU
 
already said ivy will be better and work with a sandy bridge socket, the new sandy will just be 6 cores (2 more than now) and might be a slightly faster core, but not as fast as ivy will be. but a core is like a person, 1 person can only do so much at once, 2 people can do twice as much at once, and 4 is the same way, but when you add in the 8 threads to the 4 cores it's like the people are getting the info on a conveyer belt, so they can do as much as they recieve, with the second thread to the core, it's like having a second conveyer, now it can do more work at once than a plain core and thread, but it is still limited by the cores ability so it will never be equal to 2 cores.
