Alright, I am the <sarcasm>proud</sarcasm> of a 1997 Compaq Presario. The original 6 GB (I've since added an 80GB harddrive that is partitioned into two separate drives) is full of crap.

Here's my question, if I re-format the original C: drive, will I lose all of my files that are in my other two drives?

Also if anyone has a step-by-step reformat process document or something to help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm running Windows 2000.

no it shouldn't format the other drives, if the 6gig one was partitioned, it should only format one partition
