If i build now, i now it may sound stupid, but will i make a stupid mistake not waiting for vista/dx10.i mean.xp and dx9 are very good for gaming?
why would vista and dx10 ruin that?
would they?

Vista will run DX 9 cards along with DX 9 included. DX10 is something now considered an option to install on Vista. It will not be included with the new Windows versions. One main reason is that the market is flooded with DX 9 capable cards that need to be sold first. That should be out in 2008 according to some MS and other articles.
