just wondering why the uk alienware websites prices are much more than the us site (.co.uk/.com)
if anyone could give me info on wether this is a mistake or w/e and also does the american site ship to the uk?

No, the US Alienware site won't ship to the UK if there is a UK Alienware site. And the price; Alienware are always expensive, like Apple Computer's. You are much better off building your own PC - you'll save money, and you can make it just how you want it.

:)

You'll find everything's more expensive in the UK compared to most of the rest of the world in fact. Hence why people go on shopping sprees to New York, and everyone's buying from the US and shipping over.

I believe Alienware (US) ships to the UK, from reading their terms, it seems the only countries they don't ship to are:

Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Burma, Burundi, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo, Cuba, Ethiopia, Falklands, Guinea Bussau, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Johnston Island, Kiribati, Libya, Mayanmar, Nauru, Niue, North Korea, Poland, Romania, Rwanda, Sao Tome & Principe, St. Helena (S. Atlantic), Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Seychelles, Slovenia, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tokelau Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Wake Islands, Western Samoa, and Yemen.

That can be just as expensive/more expensive though
Yes, it can be extremely expensive. I once talked to this guy who buys replica swords and stuff. The price to ship one of them over the Atlantic cost more than the $200USD sword.

True, it often depends on the item cost vs. size and weight. Buying a 1.31 Carat Diamond Ring would work out much cheaper, shipping over an inflated rubber ring perhaps not... :P

can you give me a url for that thingy abt not shipping to other countries, also, couls you tell me how much you reckon it would cost?

Oh, is that all? :P

I wonder what's wrong with those countries?

I believe UK prices are more due to the VAT tax mainly, electronics have more steps in manufacturing and therefore have more taxes added at every level of production.

i tried to get a shipping estimation and no united kingdom =[
so i dont think they ship, on tha unhappy note could anyone give me any links to uk customisable laptop websites?

Not to mention what its labelled up as. If its labelled as a gift, then no tax is added. I oredered some jerseys and trainers form US and both albelled as gifts, both got though tax free. If its labelled as computer compnents with a $3000 price tag, then VAT is added aswell as import tax, which can be upto 25% unfortunately. Its rarely that high though.
