Questions, new to computer building

Hey everybody, I'm new to this forum, and to building computers. I've been around computers all my life, but have never really done any building, besides putting in a new hard drive, and RAM. I have decided to build up a mid-range gaming computer this summer (after work) but am just slightly unsure of what to get. I have been doing a lot of research, and have a list made, but I am just looking for opinions. As for the budget, I'm fairly happy where it's at with my current list, so any recommendations need to be close to, or less than the current item, while having equal or better performance. Here are what my research has led me to decide on:

CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo e6600
MoBo - ASUS P5B Deluxe
Hard Drive - Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320gig
Memory - Patriot Extreme Performance 2gig (2 x 1gig) DDR2 800
Video Card - EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 320mb
Power Source - AeroCool ZERODBA 620W
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper TX
Case - NZXT Apollo

So there it is. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey I am new too. I have built one computer before but I didn't spend that much money on it, so it turned out to be a piece of crap. That looks like a nice build and I was wondering where you are getting it from and how much it is.

Thanks

Newegg.com is a nice computer store to get parts at, looking at the parts, you might also want to consider a Gigabyte S3 Motherboard, they usually overclock pretty good. Other than that, that build looks good

You have a nice list of parts...the DS3 by Gigabyte, as mentioned above, is a good overclocker, however, the P5B by Asus is a solid board as well. You may also want to order some Arctic Silver 5 to use with the CPU/HSF rather than the stock thermal pad. For more info, check out some of the stickies in the CPU subforum.
