Quick hard drive question

Hi all,

I am in the process of cleaning in inside of my pc. I was planning to take out the hard drive. By that I mean disconnecting it and taking it out so I can reach inside the case better. If I reconnect the hard drive, will I still have all of my data? I know that moving a hard drive to another pc removes its data, so I was wondering if it's the same case here. Thanks.

It wont delete the data you are safe.

The only way to delete the data is to format or system restore...moving the drive to another PC wont delete content either.
In order to use it as a "main drive" on another PC though you will need to format thus delete the files.

its wont do any effect on ur data unless you physically damage your hard disk.
just remove the power cable and data cable carefullly without bending or damaging any pin, remove the screws and take it out.
reconnect in the same order and be careful. while connecting it has a greater chance of bending the connecting pins.

if u plan to use it on other system without any loss of data, make sure it is not going to be the primary/main hard disk. when u connect the hard disk on other system with a OS installed, it will show as an additional drive/drives(depending upon the no of partition in your hard disk) under my computer icon.
