Should I use 1.5gig of DDR 400 or 2gig of DDR 333?

2 Gigs. More memory is better than less faster memory.

depends on what your motherboard will support, post what board you have and we can tell you which you should use. it is recommed you have at least 2Gb RAM but the speed depend on your motherboard

It supports 400...I upgrading my step daughters computer with parts from me and my wifes old computer. Right after i posted this it dawned on me that the mb will have 4 slots not 2. So I will have a 1 gig 400 stick, a 1 gig 333 stick, 4 512 400 sticks to choose from to load her up. Using xp 32 bit so I know there is a limit. Only game she really plays is WoW. Rest of her stuff will be 256mb radeon x1300 and an Athlon 64 3000+.

So which combo of sticks should I use? The choice would be easy had my kingston 1 gig 400 not crapped out on me..lol

if the mobo will support the 333 stick then put both 1Gb's and 2 512. thats what i would do.
