I have a fairly new computer. Q6660 oc to 3.0, 4 gigs of ram, 8800 gt. When im playing games sometimes such as bioshock i will get a quick freeze. Not dramatic but about a 1 second delay and its not while the game is saving. Any ideas or suggestions is much appreciated.
i dont think non- 64 bit versions of vista recognize more than 3 gigs or ram. but other than that, i dont know. ( and BTW, not so sure about the first sentence).

Yeah only 64bit OS will recognise more than 3.5gb ram. That could be your problem if your only running 32bit Vista, but Ive also noticed that Vista in general does do those little freezes on older games. No fix that I know of.
well bioshock is in no way an old game. also the 3gb rule means that it wont recognize any more, not that it will freeze the computer up. so i would try clocking your video card back to stock settings if its overclocked, updating its drivers to 177.40 and downloading the physx driver too. that is seeing a lot of FPS gains in games and 3dmark vantage.
