Quick Question about graphics cards and monitors

Hello!

This may be a dumb question, but I am new to the components of computer parts.

So I purchased an XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity card and was wondering if there are restrictions to what kind of monitor I can get. For example...I don't really want to purchase a new monitor yet cause I don't have money to do so. So instead, can I hook this sucker up to my 46 inch TV for now until I get a monitor?

Thanks in advance for any help.

you should be able to hook it up to the TV for now.

As for the monitor, your going to want to get a 1080P monitor with HDMI or DVI connections. The only limit to what you can use is none. There is only DVI, HDMI, and displayport. You can convert that to VGA and DVI/HDMI with adapters. So pretty much any monitor will work.

Sweet guys, thank you. I will only have my TV hooked up to it for a little bit, unless it is super awesome and I can stand the 46 inch screen. And the HDMI isn't a problem. I am gonna get a sweet monitor whenever I scrape up the cash to do so.
