Quick question on upgrading notebook ram

I read the Ram 101 guide in the sticky of this thread and it said to get pc3200 even if your system will only support pc2700. Well My laptop has 2 sticks of 256mb running at pc2700 to make it 512 total in Ram (I know duh...), but I was wondering if I could upgrade my ram to 2 sticks of 1 gig to make it 2gigs and get pc3200 instead of pc2700? Will I notice a difference in performance? Also my motherboard only supports up ro 2gigs of Ram, so will I be chancing anything with 2 sticks of 1024mb of Ram? Thanks for the help in advance!

oh ok, well I just wanted to ask because in the sticky of "Ram 101" in this thread it says to get pc3200 even if your system can only take pc2700. Thanks for the heads up!

I think the PC3200 RAM would be worth it because there isn't a price difference and you can use it if you upgrade your laptop.
