Hi, is there a way to get a full list of everything ever installed on my computer, or the programs etc. Any list of that sort would be nice, is it possible?
Thanks, you guys rock

I dont know about everything ever installed, but for everything currently istalled you can type 'dir C:' into dos to get a readout of all files in C, 'dir D:' for all on D drive e.t.c .

That will just tell you all the directories on the computer, not what programs used to be installed.

Is there a way to find out all the hidden files on your hdd. Like when you unistall programs and some files are left behind, how Do I access those?

Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs.

There's your list.
That only shows what programs are currently installed, not a list of everything ever installed on your computer.

To answer your question, you could go through the registry searching for bits of program entries left over, but that would be a very long task.

Omega, I would just like to know if I can clear the hidden files off my hard drive. Sometimes when you do an unistall files are left behind. Is there anyway to retrieve a list of hidden files no longer needed or in use?
Thanks,
JTM
