Quick question.

I'm planning on upgrading my CPU. Should I step up to the new 1150 socket with an i5-4570 and a B85 motherboard?

Or should I just upgrade to an i5-3570 with my already-installed H61?

Please note: I have no interest in overclocking, hence the CPU and Motherboard choices.

So I guess the real question I am asking is, is there a significant performance difference between these two processors?

I would stick with what you have. Unless you have a pressing need for AVX2 or FMA3 instructions (chances are pretty good that you don't).

just go with the ivy bridge, haswell only improved with power consumption (a little) and integrated graphics, pure cpu performance is the same. So with your system I'd say to get an ivy and spare some money .
