quick ram question

ive currently got 1gig of ram in my system (specs in sig) is there a point in getting another gig and makin it 2 in total. if i do get more, do i have to get the same type as what i have now? or can i just use another brand?

Depends on what you do if you need another gig, if you want one it'll help a bit but don't expect major differences. You can mix brands and speeds and what not but it will run at the slowest speed/timings you have.

so very true, it doesnt matter what brands you have you can mix and match and whatever it shouldnt matter but as Cromewell said it will run at the slowest speed/timings that you have
