yeah it will work. The restore cds are made to erase and replace everything on ur computer.

Yeah but i found out that those restore disks dont always work.

My restore disk just wouldnt restore my original xp home,Neither would my recovery partion that Hp put on it.

In the end i had to buy windows again.

Boy_Wonder Soppose you have an OEM copy of windows on your computer?

Use a program like Norton Ghost or Symantec Drive Image to make an image of your drive to another drive or CD's. If you deceide you do not like Media edition just restore the former OS and you are away. Do not put your faith in restore CD's

THe os was already installed when i got it an when i first powered up it told me two make a restore point so i did, il look in to it thanks

Yeah, definitely don't rely on just a restore cd. I am a bigger fan of creating a new partition and installing the trial OS on that partition. If you don't like it, you can just delete the partition.

Of course for all that, I would recommend using a program like Partition Magic or others that will do the work for you and make it easier.

No matter what you do, make sure you back up files that you definitely don't want to lose. By that I mean back them up to CD or DVD. You just never know when something could go bad on you in the process - but if you backed things up, you will feel much much better - believe me.
