R7 250x pc boots to rainbow screen- urgent

i recently received my new MSI R7 250X. I went on and installed this card in my system, connecting all the cords and what not to only find when i boot it i am confronted with a screen of many colours and nothing else. This is as far as it will boot just to this screen of colours, i cant even get into the bios or anything but when i take the chip out and use the VGA on the motherboard my computer works fine.

My system-
Boston 7525 motherboard
Intel core 2 duo E7600
enermax naxn 500w psu
GMA 3100 integrated graphics
windows 7

Hi How are you?

So when the computer boots do you see the bios screen and then this screen appears ?

Do you have another display and DVI cord that you can try to another external monitor. We need to diagnose first what is causing this and then we can help get you fixed:)

sorry I missed the last part of your post

Does your enermax naxn 500w psu meet the requirements for the GPU?

I do not have another port i can test out because of my lack of cables, and yes my Psu has plenty of power to run this card. I have sent this card back to newegg when i get a new one ill see if it problem persists.
